Youri, I don't know about reading a counter, my only experience has been with trying to communicate with their A/D and D/A PCI cards using REALbasic. They provided easily 100 pages of PDF documentation, but I think I got stuck early on when I couldn't figure out how to write directly to the memory mapped registers on the boards. If you can get over that hurdle, you should be able to read the counters.
They seem to put much more energy into their Windows line, so in Windows I think you could get RB to work by modifying their PCI VB examples. But I would expect it would be more challenging to do with RB under OSX, and I would not expect much help from NI. Their Labview software should work on either platform, but it is expensive, and it took me a surprising amount of time to get things done that I could have done in a line or two of Basic code. I have no experience with their USB products. David Hi David, Do you mean that you can't read datas coming from let say a Counter card (USB or PCI) from within RealBasic? Is this only on Mac OS or also on Windows machine? RealBasic seems to be unknown so far from National Instruments. Cheers, Youri _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
