A client of mine wants students using our RB-made program to be able to SELECT text in an EditField, but does not want them to be able to DRAG that text onto an outside program such as a text editor to save the text.
This is so the students can have a "highlight" feature in the program, but it less friendly to run through the entire question set compiling a cheatsheet. I have the editfield as read-only, and I have it so they cannot copy to the clipboard. However, I can still select and drag to a text editor. If I "disable" the editfield, it doesn't look right and long questions cannot be scrolled, but also I can no longer select. I thought I might just make a "highlight" feature in the window, so the window would intercept mouse clicks / drags over the editfield, and the window would draw a highlight box as the student clicks / drags. However, I thought I'd throw this to the list first. Doing a search in archives finds a similar question from a time ago, but no answer.
