I'm attempting to wrap an OS X HIView subclass, but cannot get it to respond to clicks. It only receives the focus when I tab to it. Once inside, I can select and edit it, but certain areas of the control do not respond to the click.

Is RB "eating" the event? I'm pretty sure I need to install a carbon event or something, but using kEventClassControl / kEventControlClick doesn't work as I never receive the event

I think that mouse click events are handled by the window. I think that you would need to install a Carbon event handler on the window and use HIViewGetViewForMouseEvent and HIViewClick to handle the event if the click is for the control. I haven't tried it yet.
