I don't know.  It was fairly irritating to me at first too because the draw
seems more convenient from the 0,0.  I suspect it is the connections to
group2d where that group is actually a rect, round rect, etc rather than
compound paths.  Just guessing.  Its really no big deal once it 'clicks'.
