Adam,
I was pleased to see this addition, but like you have also found some
bugs. Also like you everything works when using Quicktime, but most
of the customers that this project is aimed at do not have Quicktime
and have no interest in using downloading quicktime.

I'm having some frustrating experiences with the MoviePlayer when
PlayerType is set to 0, allowing it to use Windows Media Player
instead of
QuickTime. (I want to use WMP since it's more prevalent than
Quicktime.)
Every time I display a certain window with a MoviePlayer showing a
movie,
the movie player refuses to operate. Clicking its controls does
nothing,
although they do depress. However, right clicking the player shows
a menu
with 'Play/Pause'--which does work, playing the sound!
In addition, there is another window with a MoviePlayer in my
project. If
that window is shown first (it always works on the first try) then the
other window (referred to above) will work, without the right-click
trick.
This has been immensely frustrating for me. Is anyone aware of any
bugs
with the MoviePlayer control on Windows?
