I thought that images within your application were converted to the native
format of the OS you were compiling for: Pict for Mac, BMP for windows.
This isn't the case?
I thought that too...

I also thought he was developing on Mac, but having issues when running the
application on Windows...might not be the case.
I have two Licenses: one Pro for Macintosh, another Standard for Windows.
Most of the time, the project is created under Macintosh, and the testings on
Windows are done with the project running on the Standard REALbasic for Windows.
Under Windows, I may have to delete the images from the project and reimport
them ... Doh ! I already do that ... once (for one image) and the result was the
same.
I may have not used the correct sentence in the subject line. It may be:
"png images in REALbasic Standard 'project' for Windows"
the sentence is not well written, translation defaults, and that may be because
of that that I didn't write it that way :)
At this point, the question can be:
Is there's some Windows programmer who use png file in the assistance ? (err...
in the List, who reads the List ?)
Or: you are a Windows user, can you place a png file in a project, drawPicture
it in a Canvas and share the results / double click in the png entry in the
Project pane and share the results ? This will take less that a minute to do,
mail report included ("I've done png test under REALbasic 2005 Windows IDE, it
works / I do not see the image" is enough)
TIA,
Emile
