What is your target system, depending on that you may use am existing proxy and just do the log procesing with your RealBaic App, that will be easier, any way there are a lot of free log procesors out there consider using them.

Good look

No option. I need to collect URLs to get them
further processed. Moreover, I can't ensure, that
a proxy is available on the target system.

Meanwhile, I found out, that 'the proxy' protocol
is very simple. Thus, some line of my HTTP-Server
socket connection should work immediately.

Why re-invent the wheel ??

Take a look at the proxies in Linux, they are all open source.
There are even distro's that do nothing but router/proxy. You can boot them from a Live CD.
I use IPCOP, which is a nice thing as a personal firewall / proxy.
(I did install it to HD)

Although I have working web-server code, I never reviewed
options to implement a proxy server. Although this might be
simple, I'd be happy to read some code regarding this.

Any web-proxy server code around there?
