The participation at RealWorld was rather impressive. Perhaps for the "trial
run" this could be a preconference workshop that occurs the weekend before
RW.  That way you would at least benefit - numerically - from the RW
conference.  Having preconference workshops is quite common in my profession
as a psychologist for gaining CEU's (continuing education units).  

Oh and Austin is a nice place to visit...  I went to the capital with my
brother (decked out in our Harley garb) and got a nice appreciation for the
state of Texas and it's interesting history.
