This message comes very late but finally I have made a page for my
PayPal IPN PHP script: http://www.maxprog.com/scripts/paypal_ipn/

You can download the script and see how it works. It is simple to
modify. Currently I am handling almost 100% of my sales thru PayPal,
with automatic serials generation and delivery. At the beginning I
was worried that could affect sales negatively, well, I was wrong,
sales actually have grown. Seems people like PayPal. Also it is very
simple to port RB code to PHP for reg code generation, it took a
couple of hours to me.
I will later try to upload the script I use. It also generates
serials and use localized templates to send them.

Tell me more about your PHP code and PayPal as I have PayPal (ebay
user) and I can use PHP on the server I use. Do you have a
example of your code or something?
I want to make is easy and cheap to do as I am not a rich man and
anything to aid in making a little more money without spending a
ton of it would be great. RealBasic 2005r4 Pro WinXP is great but
pricey so for me to keep with the update plan I need to make money.

Use PayPal IPN then.
PayPal can run a PHP or Perl script on your site right after a
purchase.
I have automated absolutely everything, my PHP script
automatically creates the serial (RB code I have ported to PHP),
sends a customized message to the customer with it, logs the
purchases including taxes (VAT...), creates invoices, etc... it is
even faster, better and more customizable than any other payment
processor.... and the best of it, you pay half to a third less
commissions, this is a lot of money.
OIC. So you are registering your Freeware just to keep track of
users?
I use PayPal currently, but still have to manually send a regis key.
