Indeed! Joe Huber was kind enough to inform me off line of the same. I don't do much file/folder stuff so thanks! Yet I have been having no issues ever with the assumptions below, I am trying to use the 0th item, the directory chosen by the user: In this particular loop, the util has a switch to recurse or not. Then, the thread kicks into a loop based on a selected directory, volume, whatever. On Mac and Win, the first directory to get in an array of directories to deal with is the mother directory - the one the user picks. If there are files in there, it acts on those and then if the recurse switch is bugged, it does the subs as well. I have an array of folderItems that gets filled with these directories based on recursing through the "mother''s contents - it works great, but on Linux, the (0th) folderitem is nil, where on Mac and Win, it works as described...At least this is my thinking. I have been messing with it more than I have time for already :) but its nagging me now.
