The mask in RB2006 doesn't work correctly

I have problems with an editfield in RB 2006r1.
I build a class of an editfield.
In the open event i write: mask="##.##.####"
for the German date format.
But it is buggy so I mean. If you start the application, you can see ist.
You can write what you want...
In RB 2005r4 you can do the same and the function is o.k.
Or I make a mistake?
