it its icon is immediately restored (No, I'm not going to stuff

But since it seems that nobody else has got this problem, I assume
it is confined to my mac.

Is Stuffit 7 compatible with Tiger? There have been a lot of Stuffit
updates since version 7. They are at version 10 now.
1. applications compressed with Stuffit 7, once expanded get a
generic icon.
