Yes: it can't be done in 5.5, because no framework methods are virtual there. In modern versions of RB it may be possible, if .Byte is actually a method; but if it's a property, then you still can't do it -- but then, it doesn't matter in this case, since you can create a size 0 memoryBlock in the natural way these days.
