I have to put in something here, I was completing a large project in 2006r1, and I have to say that for the first time since REALbasic 5.5 then the experience was really positive. And the project extensively used the new Container controls that were not available in 5.5 which greatly simplified the development.

What is special about this report is that I have been in the "complainers boat", and still am because in all other projects of mine have been a hellish ride one REALbasic 2005/2006, where the REALbasic runs for 15 minutes tops before crashing, and after that happens one has to switch several times between Mach-O and PEF to get it to compile again (still without making any code changes).

So what I am wondering here, and it might explain why there are many that are furious about REALbasic 2005/2006 while others love it, is that could it be very project related if you hit the serious problems in 2005/2006, related to some control, some window type or something else ?

This project that went so well and where REALbasic ran all day without crashing or giving any trouble was in many ways very different from all other projects that I have, it had narrow selection of REALbasic control types, though extensive plugin control use, and it did not use the REALdatabase like most of my other projects do.
