Right, GetHeaders(url, timeout) is a synchronous call, and it returns
the headers to you. If you want the HeadersReceived event to fire,
then you'll have to call GetHeaders(url) and handle the polling and
timeout yourself.

Well, in this case with .GetHeaders, I had to Dim s as InternetHeaders
However I still cannot get the .HeadersReceived event fired.
Do you agree with me that this is less than clear in the language
reference?
Sure, not clear at all.
I'll file a bug fix on the documentation. I've filled bug
documentations in the past and they got fixed,
