What does it take to get a Maximize button on a Document Window in
REALbasic 2006 ?
The Window is Frame type zero (Document Window). Maximize is always
disabled.
Strangely enough when I started checking this out then I found that
Resizable was not checked, but yet the Window was resizable.
Checking the Maximize property has no effect, regardless if Resizable
is true or false, there is never enabled Maximize button, and the
Window is always Resizable regardless if the Resizable property is
checked or not.
*snip*
At this point I had found what the problem is, a little bit lower in
the property browser there are properties called "Obsolete", probably
because the project was imported from REALbasic 5.5.
Now, setting GrowIcon there to true does fix the problem. (And a
property called ZoomIcon was ruling over the Resizable property)
So my question here, why do the Obsolete properties rule over the
current ones ?
And why cant I get rid of the Obsolete properties after importing the
project ?
I can understand that the properties are perhaps left there so that
the project can still be opened in older REALbasic. That is all right
if that is the case, but the new properties still have to rule and
not the old ones. The way it is then its prone to cause mass
confusion and a lot of wasted time, and again plays it part in why
people are yelling over the REALbasic 200x experience.
