IMHO, RS needs to be more transparent in providing details on when
they expect to release a version of RB capable of producing UB
builds. Surely they have internal development schedules. While I can
understand not wanting to be pinned down on an exact date, it would
be better to provide some guidance, rather than "sometime this year".
We all know that dates can slip, but it would be useful to know if
"sometime this year" means Q2 vs Q4, for example. The vacuum created
by a lack of details is a major cause of speculation and
misinformation.
Past experience of RB being more transparent has not been pretty -
people here were extremely intolerant of *any* changes in their plans
or dates
They have already been very clear that they will deliver ASAP.
If it is critical to your business, you should join the beta list to
know as soon as there is a test version.
