Here is an idea:

- Download a ZIP archive and save it to /tmp
- Create a shell script in /tmp and call it and pass along your own PID and our app's location/path
- Quit your app
- The script should wait, until the current PID isn't any longer in 'ps aux' - Then let the script unpack the archive using 'hdiutiliy' (?) and copy the
  unpacked file to the passed location

Shouldn't be too complicated
