I just noticed that the OS X IDE (2006 Release 1) is using 20-25%
CPU time while in the background, no debugging going on and one
project open. Not that large of a project either, but project size
shouldn't effect the activity if the app is in the background.
Anyone else seeing this? This is on a 1.67GHz powerbook, 1GB ram.
Kinda sad that a quarter of the CPU is being sucked while nothing
is happening. iTunes is only taking 5% while playing songs in the
background.

OS X 10.4.5 RB2006r1
When I load my app (11MB Project File) the RB IDE is using about 7-8%
CPU when it is inactive.
We have talk about the similar with our own apps before. My own is
using 7-10% CPU in background.
I tested an small PEF app that take about 15% and have to drop it in
the trash...
So it is easy to see in the Activity Monitor what apps written in RB...
