Stefan,

You can add custom resources whose format and contents
are known only to your application.  A good example of this
would be some security stuff (though very easy to locate and
monkey with), custom images you want to make available to
the app, etc.  Thing of it as a VERY fragile database.  Don't do
too much with it or you'll bring your app to a sudden and unhappy
ending.
