Interesting idea. I'm not sure I know enough about circuses to know
how to manage one, unless you consider teaching to be similar to
managing a circus. :)

For 8 years I was a travelling instructor for a Unix SQL database
vendor. I taught hundreds of classes to thousands of students, in
some pretty bizarre places (including a huge cigarette factory in
Macon, GA, where a BENEFIT of working for the company was TWO cartons
of cigs per week!) I got up-close-and-personal tours of auto
manufacturing, meat packing, medical products distribution, a great
range.
The model that Informix used was an athletic equipment dealer.
Adequate but not fun.
This whole suggestion is meant mainly to indicate the universality
and flexibility of the OOP approach. You can add technical
sophistication in any way you like.
Don't see yourself short. You already know a lot more than you
think, especially since you are a teacher!
