PDFlib is a library for creating PDFs with code and is supported in
C#/C++/Perl/PHP/RB etc and on Linux/Mac/Windows so accepting a path is the
only way to work on all platforms and languages. (The RB plugin is simply a
wrapper for the library, not a full RB plugin)

That'll only work if PDFLib is prepared to accept a shell path.

What is PDFLib, and why in the world isn't it simply taking a
FolderItem as its parameter? Paths of any sort are barbaric when you
have FolderItems available.
