I am loading an editfield with a large amount of styled text, and it takes a long time to render. I have 4100 style runs representing about 640K characters of text. I was originally using EditField1.StyledText.AppendStyleRun to load the editfield, so I tried creating a StyledText separately and then loading it:
dim stxt as StyledText dim srun as StyleRun stxt= new StyledText while ... srun= new StyleRun ... stxt.AppendStyleRun srun wend EditField1.StyledText= stxt Creating the styled text is very fast. But the EditField1.StyledText= stxt is still slow. Is there any way so speed this up? Basically, all I am doing is changing the color of each piece of text.
