Here is a link to the Word VB example:

We have converted the example document from VB to RB. If you would
like it email me off list.
One of the keys is that your RB app has to live in the Microsoft
Office->Office folder for Office Automation to work.
What we have done is to create a small windowless app that gets
installed into the Office folder. Our main app passes data via
AppleEvents to the app in the Office folder, which then performs
merges to Word, or creates a table etc. There are other options too
- put your app in the office folder, use applescript, craft a
document in RB then make its creator Word and then open it (which
will open word).

Have you considered WordAutomation ? In this case you will need
office installed on the computer that runs your app. But it should
be a solution.

I would like to create a Word document from information that I
currently have in a Database. I have no problem extracting the
data from my DB using RB. What I need to learn is how to format
the output for Word.
