After some searching and research I have come up empty so I am
reposting my error message hoping someone has an idea.
When I build my app in 2006 r2 I am getting the following message...
Runtime Error 4: Failed Assertion
Location CGPPC.cpp:1815
Failure Condition: displacement < 32768
Failure Message:
Please report...
Any ideas? If I choose continue, the app will build but runs
unstable and crashes often. I do not get this error with 2006 r1.

I was plagued by several of those errors that occurred randomly. In
all my cases they originated in long methods that had many long
statements with multiple line continuations. Breaking a long method
into shorted ones, and/or cutting down on statements with many line
continuations eliminated my Runtime Error 4 situations. I know, this
is not a "scientific" cure, just an empirical one.
