I have a Portuguese keyboard and everything works fine with the "Alt
Gr" key with 2006 r2 on a Win2K. I was not able to reproduce any of
the problems you have and I also have to use the "Alt Gr" key
combination to type characters like @ [ ] { }.
I saw that your report is for Linux, so maybe this problem only
happens on Linux platforms.
