Hello!

Just a suggestion from me: It is ok if the beta programm is closed, but why not publish a public beta or final candidate a week before the release? Then RS could prevent unusable releases like r2.

While more testing (alpha, beta, or public) can help decrease the number and severity of bugs, it can never get rid of them all - software is a complex 'virtual' machine; only trivial programs could be written that would have no bugs. And even then, you'd still have to worry about bugs in the OS; the operating system is a complex software system in its own right. So technically, it can't "prevent", it can only "mitigate". Sorry for the interruption, folks. I just get retentive, sometimes... :)
