How about running a Permission Repair?
Actually I didn't even have to do that
I just downloaded and reinstalled (yet again) after deleting a number
of REALbasic related folders, preference files, etc
Some magical combination of that seems to have cured it
I still wish I had a clue what the error means, what causes it, and
why what I did this morning fixed it.
