If you consider what you are doing boring you should consider doing
something else =) REALbasic can be used for much more than "filling
listboxes". I personally use it a lot for stuff like making coloring
books for kids ( http://fastrabbitsoftware.com/coloring_book.htm ).
Your insinuation was that filling the listbox was THE primary purpose
for ALL of us. I'm more interested in faster flood fill on Linux
than the speed of filling the listbox.
It's interesting that you mention boring and artificial
intelligence. I'll be graduating with a masters degree in software
engineering from DePaul in about 7 weeks. When I first enrolled I
was admitted to the program with my focus declared as artificial
intelligence. After just a bit I decided that AI was actually pretty
boring and switched to a software engineering (project development/
management) focus.
As far as rockets... I do know a guy that has a job lined up with
NASA, but that's about it.
So all in all what does this have to do with REALbasic... only that
serious people that do some serious, fun, and interesting things work
with RB to do a lot more than just fill listboxes.
Have a great day,
John

first of all, my compliments to John Jobe that never does boaring
jobs like filling listboxes, he surely uses REAL Basic to send
rockets in the space, or to develop artificial intelligence... :)
