folderitems of mounted volumes

Im mounting 2 remote afp volumes on my OSX 10.4.6 machine. Both  
volumes have the exact same name but are not mounted from the same  
ip. Their paths show up exactly the same. Will i have problems  
accessing these 2 folderitems or will they act independently? In  
other words, on macosx, does rb rely on the path for a folderitem or  
does it rely on the vref number of something else to differentiate them?
