If they're expecting to get an AJAX-style web app without having to learn (and write) JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc., then you're right, they'll be sorely disappointed. Swordfish handles serving the pages and managing the sessions, which is important gruntwork that needs to be done well and you may prefer not to do yourself. But it's not going to do all that other whiz-bang AJAX stuff for you.
