Found the problem: Office Automation code does not work for Mach-O

find this restriction in any RS documentation.

That's unfortunate, please submit a bug report on that.

Is this a bug or by design?? -- I'm not sure that this is a

Mach-O is a different target that we never added OLE support for. It may
not be possible, or the amount of time we'd have to spend to support it was
not going to be as profitable.

I am under the impression that for Intel Macs PEF would go away. Is
this going to be a problem??
RS, can you comment on this?

MS Office, as far as I know, is still a PEF app. If they decide to move to
Mach-O, it may potentially break all your Office Automation code too.

Thanks William for that insightful Information.
I filed a bug report against the lack of documentation on this:

Hopefully others will not fall into this trap as I did.
