Just search for "design pattern factory" and you'll get lots of good
stuff including specifics of the factory pattern as well as a general
introduction to patterns.
If you are interested in patterns I think someone took the book Head
First Design Patterns and converted all the examples from Java to
RB. Messages regarding this should be in the archive somewhere, but
the person who did the work might chime in too.
