This worked in RB2005. Now I've got a project in RB2006 with a

Export your project to XML, search for those items, and cut them out.
(Or instead of cutting them out, modify their names so they don't
start with an underscore.) Then open your modified XML project in RB.
I can see why this is happening, and while I agree it ought to be
fixed (the underscore should simply be stripped off when such a file
is added), in the meantime, I would (obviously) recommend not
dragging in images whose names start with an underscore. Identifiers
starting with an underscore are, I believe, reserved for use by REAL
Software.
