If that is so, why would it cause so much trouble if no value is passed, or maybe I am missing something?
The problem has been that when there was no return the compiler reported a nil object exception. Because arrays are not true objects, we have no way of checking for this. There are requests in Feedback asking that the compiler handle this situation in a more intuitive manner (see bbabwtah).
