Perhaps you need to call the Flush() and Close() methods on the BinaryStream or TextOutputStream you are using to write to the file? Most OS's have buffered file systems, which means there's a (faster) RAM-resident buffer that the data gets written to. It doesn't "flush" this buffer down to the disk until the file is closed or the buffer gets full. REALbasic does this for you automatically when the Stream variable goes out of scope, but if you're trying to create a file and upload it in the same method, this won't have happened by the time you try to upload.
