I think the crash is harmless, but we should make RS aware of it.
They'll probably fix it then.
I'd be happy to sign on to your bug report.
Be sure to include steps to help them reproduce the problem. I use
RB 2006r2 extensively on my Intel MBP running 10.4.6 and I have
never had it crash on Quit. So there's more to the issue than
"Intel, extensive use and Quit".
