Hi Terry,
this is how I feel the things:
I wonder how that can happen.
It is very simple - I feel I can do the same - you implement (the first
part of) a new feature, you make some preliminary tests, and let that
feature living its own life.
No one report any error ?
Fine, it really works
But in the end, only one part of the feature was implemented because you
didn't have the time to implement the whole feature, you have more
important features to implement/ you have a bug to remove right now /
it's time to get some meal / a phone call arise / whatever.
My deep feeling is that "each and every day have only 24 hours!" and I
cannot do all I have / want to do in so few hours...
This was not a rant, just the way I feel the things since all of those
years (from REALbasic 1dr23 - back in April/May 1998) of REALbasic usage.
BTW: REALbasic will be 8 years old in the near future...

Now try to figure that one out. ;-)
Well, Ca and d are valid Hex letters so I checked those alone.
Val("&hFFCa") will evaluate to 65482 and Val("&hFFD") will evaluate
to 4093. It appears the "t" in Cat and the "og" in Dog change the
evaluation.
I wonder how that can happen. ;-)
