RB wasn't designed by contract. I'm not sure what you mean with
'subverting meaning'.
At the very least, if RS gave into pressure and implemented this

feature I would demand that they do it with
1) an optional flag
2) that the option default to OFF for object-passing support so
nobody can be surprised by it being suddenly available.
Sounds good, and how about my suggestion for Variants? Mars, you
have my express permission to take that and treat it as if you
thought of it yourself, if that would hurry its implementation.
