One possible way is to use a shell. You can get a list of volumes with df,
then use a shell again and parse the result from e.g.

diskutil info /dev/disk1s3

which delivers the following on my machine:
   Device Node:        /dev/disk1s3
   Device Identifier:  disk1s3
   Mount Point:        /Volumes/Backup
   Volume Name:        Backup
   File System:        Journaled HFS+
                       Journal size 8192 k at offset 0x97000
   Owners:             Disabled
   Partition Type:     Apple_HFS
   Bootable:           Not bootable
   Media Type:         Generic
   Protocol:           FireWire
   SMART Status:       Not Supported
   UUID:               F0F650F7-9B0C-315E-AD36-03F68357B8CE
   Total Size:         18.5 GB
   Free Space:         4.2 GB
   Read Only:          No
   Ejectable:          Yes
