Good thing is I wrote my own implementation of the recordSet class about 2
years ago and it's served me well since. Should be pretty easy for me to
serialize that, I was hoping there was a general way to do it, but this
will do :)

Ah, see I didn't know about this limitation. Database classes are a
special breed that do not seem to be quite as versatile as other
REALbasic classes.
