Thanks for the info Andy, I've looked at your scriptPictureEffects project
and can see I've been missing alot of the power of RBScript because of a
lack of understanding.

This sounds ideal for RBScript with a fairly rich context class created.
Check out my ScriptPictureEffects sample at http://www.oofile.com.au/
downloads.html#DownloadREALbasic which exposes the PictureEffects API
(for the Einhugur PictureEffects plugin) as well as the standard
Graphics 2D drawing commands.
I think this is a lot more viable than embedded Flash and would remind
you it is very easy to develop code against such an interface, debugging
in RB and then copy and save as RBScript text.
At risk of stating the bleeding obvious, a subclass of the context
object sees the methods and properties exposed as directly callable, the
same way a script does.
