Hi Jeffrey, all,

What I recommand is to use a software that is really friendly with all targetted platform.

For Stuffit,if you search Stuffit Expander on Allume web site, you can get it -with a small search time - but it is not easy.

ALSO: after you download the Stuffit Expander file, be aware that you do not need a license number.

I have downloaded Mac version 10 and a forgotten now Windows version: in both cases - I think - I had the "Licence Number" field, but I skipped it since I do not have one.

What's my usage of Stuffit Expander ?

Only when I have to uncompress 'exotic' archive files...

On Macintosh, I use the default "BOM <I do not recall> to un-zip, and "FilZip" (a free software) on the PC to zip (and eventually un-zip) files.

Emile

PS: I use both Mac OS X and Windows...

I would recommend not using .sit because it is not very Windows
friendly and these days, not even really Mac friendly. It is almost
impossible to find a free version on Aladdin's website.
