Hi Eric I run barcode scanners through the serial port. Totally avoids the keyboard hassles including making sure you have the right application as the front window.

Hello list - Is there a way to tell which keyboard originated a keystroke? I'm looking at a project that will interface with a barcode scanner. I want the user to be able to pick up the scanner - no matter what they're doing - and have the barcode scanner's output be processed differently than the normal keyboard. Thanks for any tips!
