I confused two different Amiga paint programs. DCTV was a cheap 24 bit(21-bit?) graphics adapter for Amigas. It came with DCTV Paint which I thought was what you modelled µPaint after. In any event, I have alzheimers.
Hello Daniel,

I think I understand you now.
In the µPaint 3 readme I stated how impressed I (still) was with NewTek's DigiPaint program for the Amiga. In fact I do still have my Amiga 1000 and my copy of DigiPaint, though it's many years since I have used them. Above all, I found the fill polygon tool really interesting and useful, and I have tried ever since to imitate it.

DigiPaint.

But I ended with amiga before the CD32 era, and never came to know the CDTV and all that stuff that followed (I have been googling to know more on this). In fact I even didn't used DeluxePaint IV. I stopped with DelukePaint III and DigiPaint 3. This last one was a wonderful program because, back in 1987, was capable of displaying more than 4000 colors!

... But I do not think the UI of µPaint is similar to that of DigiPaint.

Thank you for reminding me those old, good (and gone) times!

Juan

Hm. Could've sworn you said you modeled it after DCTV Paint.
