Hi Mel,
Glad it helped a little. As you can see in the date of the article, this
command exists at least already a year.
Maybe good to know there is also a command ColumnFromXY(x,y) to 'show'
the columnnumber so that you can even make your code even more shorter :-) .
I don't know why they are not mentioned in the LR (builtin or pdf), but
they are there so long that I have good hopes that they will stay 'forever'.
Kind regards,
Andre

Hi Christian,

This article and programexample from Seth handles the hovering over a
listboxrow alternating the color of the row where the mousecursor is
over. With a number of adaptions (like adding the column) this could
be a start to solve your problem.
Andre,
I've been rolling my own routines for RB2005 and 2006 to track what
cell the mouse is over. Your timely email sure just made my code a
heck of a lot shorter.
I had no idea that RowFromXY even existed. I checked the IDE LR and
it's not mentioned at all in the Listbox section. I also just checked
the LR PDF and it's not mentioned there either.
Now I wonder if this is an undocumented "feature" that will disappear
in future versions, or simply another RS snafu. I'd like to think the
new price increase for RB will help address this and other short
comings. Nah, that's too optimistic..:-)
