Hi all,

Here's some platform differences (Mac OS X / Windows XP):

a. f.OpenStyledEditField EditField1

Mac OS X: I use a .txt file and it works fine (style or no style). That was a test: I used .txt files, but reach troubles, read below the Windows XP line.

Windows XP: I have to use a TextInputStream if I want to get non styled text, or transform my .txt files to styled (.rtf under Windows XP) text files...

b. Embedded Language Reference

Mac OS X: I Copy / Paste the description text _WITH_ styles

Windows XP: Copy / Paste the description text _WITHOUT_ styles.

Did you know what happens to rtf files generated by Mac OS X and transported in Windows ?
The result is not fine, looks bad...

Emile

In other words: the pdf file called LanguageReference.pdf ("REALbasic Language Reference, Create your own software" does not follows its own name: it is not a reference at all; much more than an Introduction, but less more than a Language Reference...
