True. > We don't know if RS uses ROTOR or not. Also true, though the more useful we make it, the more likely that they'll use it on occasion too, I would think. > When we submit bug reports that referrer to tests in ROTOR, how will > RS know what we are talking about? Include the URL. But the folks at RB are very smart and good at paying attention; I suspect they know what ROTOR is already. Again, as we make it more useful and get more people using it, the more likely any particular person at RS will be familiar with it. > Joe did a great thing putting together ROTOR, but I'm saying we need > something that is endorsed by RS. I agree, that would be ideal. But some people here may remember years ago when folks at RS asked who would be interested in them making their internal test suite public, so all could contribute. The response, as I recall, was mostly the sound of chirping crickets. Much like I've gotten out of ROTOR, in fact (though I have gotten two outside contributions -- thanks guys!). So, your feature request is a sensible one and I support it -- but I also don't think we should wait for it to happen. We can all support ROTOR until something better (e.g. officially endorsed) comes along.
