Hello:
I've been dealing with a bug related to Remote Debugger for a while.
After some emails with Aaron Ballman, we found that using RB-Windows
in a non-english Windows XP SP2, RB incorrectly builds Mac Apps.
Can anyone here in the list try to build a Mac App in a non-english
Windows XP SP2 install, with an image inside a project to confirm
this issue?
- RB 2006 for Windows / Non-English Win XP SP2 install
- Create a new project
- Add a BMP image
- In Windows.open try: MsgBox Str(image.width)
- Build for Mac
- Transfer the app to a Mac and execute it
- You should get a NilObjectException
I've tested with 3 Spanish Windows XP and it fails on all 3.
However, I would like to test with other spanish windows XP or other
languages before stating that there is a bug in the compiler.
So far, I cannot remote debug apps from Win to Mac due to this bug
