Could it be that in the big project the pictures were loaded twice, once
as imported (external) files and once as internal?
If I compare both binaries with a fileviewer it looks to me that there
are in the big exe more graphical data.
You can see this for yourself if you have installed TotalCommander
(http://www.ghisler.com/) and on that site there is also an extended
fileviewer from François GANNIER as plugin for Total Commander.
